Bengaluru, 9 September

Marking 100 days of the Chief Minister DK Shivakumar-led government, the Congress plans to hold a special programme titled ‘Dhruda Karnataka Sankalpa -- Shatakada Patha, Pragatiya Ratha’ (Resolve for a Strong Karnataka – Path of a Century, Chariot of Progress) at the Vidhana Soudha here on Thursday, according to a press release. Former chief minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the event, while Shivakumar will preside over the programme.

All State Cabinet ministers, legislators, Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha members, Legislative Council members and senior government officials, including Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh, will attend the event, it said.

Beneficiaries of the government's five major guarantee schemes—Anna Bhagya, Gruha Lakshmi, Shakti, Yuva Nidhi and Gruha Jyothi—along with workers from various sectors and other sections of society, will participate in the programme. Farmers, auto-rickshaw drivers, porters, gig workers, street vendors, ASHA workers, anganwadi workers and civic sanitation workers are among those expected to participate.

Shivakumar will interact with the beneficiaries and may also speak on the State's future development.
